Well, you might check with your own Air Quality Division, one of the lead attorneys there used to work for me. She is, BTW one of the best in the business.

When I started in the early 80's, the program was new. Strange as it may seem, we have a lot of sources, like power plants, and at that time, a non-attainment area in Tulsa. We also have Cement Kilns, tire manufacturing, paper mills, auto manufacturing (at one time) and several major government facilities like Tinker Air Base. Several refineries, gas processing, etc. Lots of work, and thanks to EPA, it gets bigger every day.

Man, what is wrong with the people of Tulsa? The comment section of that story is brutal. Have they no decency there?

Sad, but true. Tulsa has no monopoly on stupidity though you can't tell by those comments. Mr. Champlin was not, as one might gather from the article, a wild eyed environmentalist. He was an intelligent, down to earth hard working lawyer, who didn't like emissions emitted from hazard waste incinerators or tons of chicken manure washed/dumped into the Illinois River. He fought hard for his clients, and should be commended instead of ridiculed.
