Just got my first real tractor home and off the trailer.

MF 1010 4WD, approx 270hrs, loader, scoop, belly mower, scraper blade.

Formerly used by myt father in law around his summer home.

My plan is to grease all the fittings I can find and change the engine oil and filter to get it ready for winter duty at my place in upstate NY.

Anything else I should be doing? Any recommendations on grease type, oil type etc?

Also, the jacketing on a few of the lines for the loader is scraped up ( probably from hanging down). I assume they'll last through the winter.

Inputs appreciated.

For the hydraulic fluid us Permatran III. As far as engine oil, an good diesel rated oil will work, but since it gets real cold where you are a synthetic oil would be better. There are several that can be ordered such as Amsoil or you can get Rotella and Mobil Delvac locally. Mobil 1 Truck & SUV 5W-40 is the same a Mobil Delvac. I have used regular Rotella, synthetic Rotella, Mobil 1 and currently I have Mobil 1 Truck & SUV in my tractor.
