From reading through this forum I can tell that transmissions are a hot topic, but I need to ask the question anyways. I am looking at purchasing a 4 series to replace a 30 year old Kubota (gear, practically 0 maintenance over the years). The dealer is pushing the hst, and I do see that it has advantages, but I am seeing some pretty interesting discussions on maintenance schedules and costs. Seems to be around $300 at the first 50 hours and then every 100 hours or so after that.
Can anyone tell me if and how the maintenance schedule and cost differs between the sst and hst?
