I have a 4550 that every time I put my brush hog on it and start mowing within minutes the check engine light comes on and it starts powering down. I have the rpm's set, I run in low range and second gear, and it is a 6' brush hog that I am using. Each time I take it to the dealer, they reset the computer and send me on my way, but this is happening over and over and they are not getting the problem resolved. Does anyone have any recommendation or solution to this issue?

What happens if you hook something else to the PTO? Or simply engage the PTO with no attachment? Does the brushhog spin freely by hand?

If the auger works fine I’d say it’s likely with the brushhog? Could the driveshaft be too long and or be binding?
Another test would be to attach the auger engage the PTO and put the machine in gear and drive around. Obviously the auger typically isn’t used while the machine is moving. But doing this test could prove or disprove the above theory.
Basically if any PTO attachment will trip a check engine if the machine is in gear and moving it’s the machine. But if only the brushhog is tripping the check engine it’s somehow the brushhog.

Have them resolve the problem instead of just resetting the light.
What trips the check engine light? Specifically? You need to have them find out.
It would seem doubtful that anything related to the PTO throws a check engine warning, other than the effect the PTO attachment has on the engine load, but who knows?
Clogged air filter? Clogged radiator (overheating)? Fuel (filter) or supply problem? Hopefully not low oil pressure. I know nothing about Tier IV systems, but are your symptoms typical of what happens when Tier IV sensors fail, regen doesn't work (or it thinks it didn't work), or algorithms get out of whack?
I had the same problem with my 4550 with only 600 hours. I could bush hog for a while and then the engine light would come on and the engine would stall. Turned out that the strainer on the fuel petcock was plugged due to debris in the tank.
