Anybody been able to match an aftermarket paint to Mahindra color?

Mahindra red and KMW Red are the same. I used some KMW red to cover a couple of scratches on the hood...couldn't tell the difference. By the way, believe it or not, Rustoleum Red is a very close match as well....BobG in VA

I think it depends on what year and model you've got (not to mention the infamous fade factor). I notice that my dealer has several "Mahindra Red" paints in stock. He had to look up which one allegedly matched my tractor (even though 94.2% of my touchup is usually on the FEL bucket or BH stick.

My ML112 FEL is a slightly different color from my 509 BH which is a different color completely from the tractor itself. My fade factor is very low as my tractor has been garaged when not in use (by me and the previous owner) almost from day one. Regardless, Rustoleum Red is not a bad way to go at all... but for my FEL bucket, I most recently bought American Tradition Brand "Berry Red Gloss." It matched the FEL's paint very nicely. :)

I'm going to keep the bucket red until I paint the tractor blue!!! :D

(Seriously, it's going black after it gets its hooks, reinforcements and new cutting edge put on. Just got my new stick welder the other day! Gimme a break man! :) -d)

I figured that all that stuff was already done. What are you doing painting a bucket that you are going to rework anyway? Your not one of these guys that paints his disk blades are you? Just giving you a hard time.

I've been thinking about a new red tractor for awhile now, just can't seem to get the wife to go along though.:( Oh well, maybe in the future.

Trust me, this is not museum-grade touch-up we are talking here. :) This is so the rust coming off doesn't ruin my garage floor any more than it is already ruined! I don't really like the red bucket look... but bare metal and rust stains on the floor are far worse. :(

Looks like rain all week here... but I hope to have that new welder all wired and fired up before month's end. My new and improved black "bionic" bucket should make its debut soon! :) Watch for the photos!!! :)

Why would a guy with a magnificent, barely broken-in 7520 (and half a dozen or so yellow commercial machines) want to go shopping for a new red tractor? How much bigger or better can you go???

Well, because it's fun.:) I sure would like to be able to go out and get my land disked in 1 day, I have to many other things to do than just go back & forth across my property for a few days. One of the problems of only being a weekender.:( Not that I don't like disking, I enjoy doing it, it's just that there is so much more that needs to be done.

Anyway, 1st pic is what I would have liked to get, but then reality set in and I got the Case 1200 that is in the 2nd pic at only a couple % of what the new one costs. Actually when I said that I was looking at red tractors, I have been looking at smaller tractors that would work with a few of the implements that I have that don't require the weight or horsepower that I have.

Now back on topic, what does everybody use for the Mahindra Grey. I have been mixing it myself with black & white and have ended up with the correct color, but end up with over a gallon. I don't normally need a gallon of paint though.

You rich folks are too funny! :) You want a new mega-monster tractor 4 times as big as your 7520 (and my garage!)... and then a baby one just for fun. And here I can't even afford to reinforce & paint my bucket! I would cut off my right arm for a 7520... even a baby blue one :D ... and you get to have a different tractor for every day of the week. :(

Life just ain't fair! :(

Keep in mind that out of all of my tractors, I have only had one of them new, the 7520. All the others have been used. I feel that I have been lucky with all of them. They all have been good machines, but each one has needed some sort of repair when purchased and some have needed more after the initial repairs. The Case 1200 is probably one of the best condition tractors that I have gotten, 4 new tires and a new seat and I will be good to go.:)

And as far as being rich, I would say that other than our Mahindras, my tractors cost me less than the toys that you have in your garage.

Anyway, this thread is supposed to be about paint, you might think about painting your reworked bucket Mahindra Grey, I think that it would look pretty nice. I have my 84" bucket painted that color and like it.;)
