l wish l were out getting some seat time ! Even went so far as to hope for a foot of snow just for an excuse to fire up the tractor . Who knows , perhaps we'll get an early spring so we can work on showing off our machines .

Wooooohoooooo! Today, I purchased a used Mahindra 4500-2WD with FEL and Howse 6' Shredder. The tractor has less than 200 hours on it.

Our first containers of the new 15 series arrived last week. Super nice. We sold a 3215HST TLB today. The loader lifts 1410 lbs. The turning radius on these new tractors is amazing. Great machines! Order a bunch now because these will sell fast.

I'm not positive but there is a local Mahindra dealer in Cicero who goes to the farm shows throughout the state. Gary's Equipment is only about 10 mi. from the fairgrounds so he'll probably be there. I don't if any other dealers within the state are making the trip or not.

For the past few years Swantak Mahindra from Oneonta has had the Mahindra display at the NY Farm Show. It's been a pretty big display too, with a great location- right inside the entrance of the Center of Progress building. I bought my tractor from them at the 2004 show.

Gary's Equipment has been there as well, but they haven't had any Mahindras at their display. I'm pretty sure the rules are that there can only be one dealer for each brand. Gary's had some zero-turn mowers and other equipment on display.

Tim, the new 15 series are a little more than the 2615HST and 3015HST. Check with your local dealer for prices in your area.

I recently bought a 2003 Mahindra 2310 off e bay with only 125 hours on it. It's my first tractor and I have had it only for a week or so. It had started up fine several times. We recently had a cold spell (temps in single digits in Upstate NY) I can not get it started now. I have used the glow swithch but it still does not start. The glow switch light on the dash does NOT come on though. I have checked the fuses but done nothing else. Any thoughts??

I agree, the chatter has been kinda light here lately. My wife & I just moved back home to Tenn. the first of Jan. after spending 2 years in "paradise" (Florida). Hauled my 4110 with my F250 almost 900 miles - was a good trip.

We bought 10 acres to build our house on and the tractor is just sitting there waiting for the ground to dry some so I can start grading for the homesite & driveway. I went ahead and did my oil change etc. a little early so I wouldn't have to stop work once I got started, we're anxious to get going on the house. Got to cut into a hillside a little to get the site for the house - plan to use my one bottom plow to bust it up a little before moving it with the FEL & boxblade. Our driveway will be approx. 400' up the hill, will be able to go straight up as it's not very steep. Got to run a shallow ditch along it - can do that with the boxblade OK. Won't be as easy as the past 2 years working in mostly sand in Florida, but I'm used to the clay & rock around here and the 4110 handles it just fine, just takes a little longer. At least this dirt will grow something besides grass & palmettos !! Will probably be next year before I have time to bust a garden spot and will take a year or two to get the rocks out good but we have a fine setup for a garden on the south-facing hill. Was pleased that my glow plugs still worked OK in the 4110 - hadn't used them in 2 years, but they worked and she started right up with temps in the teens here. The tractor now has 956 hours, uses no oil and has no external leaks anywhere. The Florida sun really did a number on the red paint - my hood is pink, might have to consider a paint job after this big project is done later this year - I have an attached carport figured into the plans for the house and the 4110 has a spot under it.

Now that's posts like I like to see. If someone could give me some reassurance on the 7010 cab model I'd almost be all in to go for it. We need more posts from some higher hour usage users. Typical seems to be in the 200 to 300 hour range. I have 372 on mine and it has more than any in these parts.

JC - I'd like to think that the Mahindra owners are happy with their machines and the lack of troubles. My 4500 4wd just keeps working and working faithfully. Initially, I was disappointed because it didn't have glow plugs but the intake manifold heater has really worked just as well. I did install a block heater just in case but I think it would have started without it. I do like the fact that the oil is warmer with the heater plugged in to ensure lubrication to the vital components sooner. The only reason I watch the hour meter is for oil changes. I'm over 1,500 hours at this point and it just keeps running and no complaints. The "00" series is uncomplicated as far as safety switches so it appears that eliminates 1/2 of the problems reported on this forum. The only addition to this machine might be a turbo but not in my opinion a reason to upgrade. Any problem - small as they have been, have been covered under warranty. Too bad someone can't can't make a road vehicle as dependable as my 4500. The floor plan of the deck was at first a pain in the butt but I have learned to work around it. Strange as it sounds, my shoe laces got caught in the hydraulic clamps but I soon learned to double tie them and now it isn't a problem. Mahindra is learning quickly to adapt to the U.S. market and reacting even faster. I'll do anything to keep what I have now since they no longer make the 4500. I never imagined the quality of this tractor and I'd put it against any tractor out there for price, stamina, reliability, and pulling power. Until Mahindra comes up with a slogan - I'll have to borrow from Timex...It takes a beatin and keeps on tickin!

Clyde, thanks for the post. I was interested in a 4500 when I found my 6000. As you may be aware, the 4500 engine has the same bore/stroke/pistons that the 6000 has, with one less hole/piston. BobG in VA
