Sticking with oem specified fluids is a safe choice. If you want to go down the rabbit hole, many users here on TBN use products like Tractor Supply's "Universal Premium Tractor Fluid".

Whatever you choose, make certain the fluid is designed for current tractor transmissions and hydraulics, and specifically NOT listed only for older machinery.

I personally use the oem recommended trans / hydraulic fluid in my equipment.
