I had the same thing happen when I shut down for lunch while brush hogging. I had an online pow wow with a few tractor friends and went out after lunch, crawled underneath and reinstalled the neutral saftey wiring plug to the shifter and all was good.
hugs, Brandi

I know this thread is back a few years how ever I discovered that on my present Challenger MT265B that in freezing conditions that the seat safety switch does not work or at least for about 1/2 to 1 hours of sitting there and warming it up with the back best parts of me,,,,well she tells me I am a but head any ways  lololol. took a short wire and put 2 --1/4 male spades and connected the two female wire connectors from the wire loom to the seat and solved the frozen seat problem,,,,recommend removal and plugging back in when winter is over though. If the tractor is in gear and you stand up to get off,,,you may end up getting off a little sooner than you were planning.;)
