My 5500 4WD with loader (later model) has 400 hrs on it with carefull use by myself only. I have always nursed clutches as an experienced heavy vehicle and machine operator. However recently my Mahindra would not disengage enough to allow easy gear selection.
I have adjusted the linkage from clutch pedal to clutch fork lever (max) and still have problem. I put a bend in the linkage to create more adjustment or shortening of linkage , slight improvement however not satisfactory. There is around 1 inch of free movement on the lever operating the thrust bearing. The clutch appears to have good clamping pressure when driven and has never slipped or given problems.
Is there an internal thrust bearing or fork adjustment? There appears to be an inspection plate under thrust bearing area
although removal of the front wheel drive cover /protection plate will be required.
any assistance is appreciated. I am located in a fairly remote area of Australia and a quick trip to a dealer is not possible.
The dealer I purchased from has sold the dealership and new owner has been vague about offering a diagnosis.
regards Ross.
