Mahindra 4550
I have owned my 4550 for several years. It was built in 2014. I was going over my owners manual Tractor Storage Precautions and it says I should drain the water inside the fuel tank using the Drain Plug (page 104 Sr no. 3) . Here is my problem: The owners manual does not show me the location of the fuel tank drain plug. I can't find a reference to the fuel tank drain plug in the service manual. I can't find a drawing of the fuel tank (and drain plug) in the parts manual. By the terms used it seems that the Fuel Tank Drain Plug is not the same as the Fuel Filter drain plug (page 72). I don't want to randomly open or loosen a 菟lug I'm not sure about. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could post a photo of the fuel tank drain plug to help me find it, or a parts drawing of the fuel tank so I have an idea of where it may be.

Thanks in advance for any help on this you can give.

You may have a newer tank design that what the manual references, an upgraded plastic tank that will not rust that now does not contain a drain. In normal use, if you put good quality fuel in your tank and keep it full whenever possible, you should never get any water in the tank or fuel filter. Above ground storage tanks, buying fuel from stations that do not sell much, parking a semi-full vehicle outside where it is subject to daily heating/cooling... draws water to the fuel like a magnet. You can litterly just about never have to change your fuel filters/drain water if you practice good fueling policies. But you have to do it almost religiously.
