I have a Mahindra 4530 4WD . I found this site while looking for solutions for the spitting/backfire it experience at high idle under load after 30 minutes or so of running. Hope this site will give me some insight to the issue.

Did this just start in cold weather? If you work it for awhile while spitting does it stop spitting or get worse? 30 minutes sounds like the programmed warm up of the tractor after which timing reverts to normal. If youre not making enuf heat [not working hard] the engine will then wet stack. Your symptoms are classic of this.I have a Mahindra 4530 4WD . Did you ever get your tractor running right. My 4530 is doing exactly what you described for yours.
I changed fuel filters drained the tank.
Dealer can't replicate, had it in the shop 3 times. It starts loosing power after about 20 minutes with a bush hog.
Can't mow and acre before it starts acting up. A blue or grey smoke comes out.
It will sit and idle fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hello My 6530 done the same exact thing and it took a couple tries but the dealer finally diagnosed it as a injector pump that need to be calibrated. They pulled it and sent it off the be fixed and i havnt had any problems since. J5 tractors is the dealer i bought my tractor from and they have been great so give them a ring if there is one close to you.
