Mahindra 4110 PTO bearing help???

First of all hello, long time follower first time poster. Been an advid visitor since I purchased my Mahindra earlier this year. You guys seem to now your stuff so I hoping yall can help me out. Couple of weeks ago I developed a leaking PTO seal. Did some research and stuff and decided I could fix it myself. Took the plate off, removed the old seal and for some reason in my ignorance decided I needed to change the bearing as well. So I removed C ring, shims and started to try to remove the bearing. This is where it all goes wrong, I cant get the bearing off the shaft. I'm hoping that someone out there has had experience with this and can provide some help and/or advice on what to do. Anything you can help me out with would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Have you moved the bearing at all? If you haven't and haven't damaged the bearing I would leave it there unless you see that it is bad. Another question is have you removed the inner part of the seal as the seal is in 2 pieces and sometimes the inner part looks like part of the shaft.

Hmm, i have to check again on that inner part of the seal, but Im pretty sure I did. As far as the bearing, yes Ive damaged it, already removed the cage in the process of trying to get it out. The whole shaft will move to where the bearing face is flush with the back end of the tractor but I cant get it to go any farther.

Clean the shaft with some emery cloth.

UPDATE!!! Just thought Id let anyone who may have this problem, dealer come and got repaired it, apparently its not that big of a job, the shaft and bearing all comes out the back of the tractor as one. Lot cheaper than I feared it to be.

thanks for the update... always a good thing when it doesn't hit the wallet as hard as your expecting also.
