Hello,

Tractor has over 400 hours. This is my first tractor (purchased new) and it seems to have a loss of power in the hydraulics. It just doesn't seem to move the front bucket or backhoe as fast as it used to and cannot lift as much with the front loader. Fluid is where they need to be and I checked for leaks. At 100 hours I changed the filter but not the oil. It gets regular engine oil changes and I just changed out the fuel filter. The only other thing I can think of is to change out the hydraulic fluid.
Does anyone have any trouble shooting suggestions or have dealt with something like this before and found a solution?

Thanks

Is the hydraulic filter the correct one for the tractor, is it seated correctly and not allowing air to be drawn in past the seal, was the old seal removed (not 2 seals in place now)?
I don't know your tractor, check the 3pt hitch is set down, does it have a 3pt/backhoe changeover valve, check it is fully in the correct position , does it have quick connect valves, disconnect and reseat ALL QC valves.

I have the same Mahindra model JimnAZ and I would suggest to change the hydraulic fluid. It may been getting thin with 400 hours on it if it has not been changed on schedule. The HST models in heavy use wear the fluid down.

400 hrs and the fluid hasn't been changed? What's Mahindra list the service interval as? My Kioti is 200 hrs: that's the first change, not sure what it after that, but no way would I ever think it could be anywhere close to (as much as) 400 hrs.

Not worth deviating from spec unless you are having fluids analyzed (which is the ONLY real way to know for sure when a fluid needs to be changed- manufacturer intervals are just guidance- and I wouldn't want to try to make claims against warranty with records showing overdue fluid change [w/o, that is, a fluid analysis]).
