I am new here and new to working on hydraulics. with that said I own a 2008 Mahindra 3510 4wd gear, I just bought a new root rake with a clamshell. I had to change the detent valve out to add in an extra set of lines to operate the clamp. I did some research and found that the one that came with fel was a prince so I looked at the three stick valves. the one I bought was the RD5300. I have mechanical background and it looked to be fairly simple to change over to the new valve. the problem now is that have no movement on the fel, rear remote or the 3pt but if I move the 3pt lever to the up position then pull the stick for the loader arm my 3pt will rise and the loader arm jumps about an inch. it will not lower the 3pt when the fel lever is move in the opposite direction. I've already bled all the lines of air as best I could. I'm at a loss here and don't know what is wrong or where I goofed. could someone please help.

Pictures would help did you add the new spool into your FEL stack? Did you make sure that the new spool was open center? the 3pt does not lower on hyd pressure lowering the lever just bleeds off the pressure that is behind it. You are not getting any flow beyond your loader valve and means you are blowing relief all the time, don't run the tractor long or you will kill your pump. Most tractors with gear pumps run an open center valve arraignment where the oil can flow freely from one thing to the next when the valves are not in use. Usually the fluid flows to the power steering first then FEL then 3pt hitch and last to the rear remotes. So you have something blocking it at your FEL valve most likely a closed /blocked center spool in the new one you put in.

No I did not add in, I replaced the original 2 spool with a 3 spool. Yes it is open center. I believe we have figured out the problem, the power beyond port needs a sleeve and we did not add one, just reduced it down for the line. We are waiting for a sleeve to arrive and hope this will solve the problem. Thank you for your response.

Pump flow to valve IN port.

PB adapter installed. Feeds next valve downstream.

OUT port goes to tank.

Tell us how you plumbed the valve.

Thank you for the information you provided. Where it is talking about the PB is where we believe the problem is and we are just waiting on the sleeve to come in, we had to order it because no one around here has one. It will be a few weeks before we can find out if that is the problem or not. Will post here if it works or not.

What is in the PB port now?

If there is a plug in the PB port, the pump flow is combining with the OUT/tank flow and going to tank.

When the PB adapter is installed, the pump flow is separated, and sent on to the next valve in a series flow path, including the 3pt.

The tank flow is now only the cyl expended flow.
