Mahindra 3316 fan and radiator shroud

The fan has about 1/2 to 3/4 inch clearance from the shroud on the top but is close to touching on the bottom . Is there any way to adjust the shroud so that it has equal distance on top and bottom ? I slackened all 6 shroud bolts to see if it could move down but the holes are round .

Does anyone have a service manual for the 3316 gear model ? The reason I ask is I am wondering if there might be anything in it on how to fix this problem . If it is I can buy one .

That type of a issue is normally a owner preference. The manual would not tell you to egg the holes to get it centered so the blades won't hit.

It is surprising the holes aren't already egged. Perhaps a batch of shrouds were made without the full machining process. What is curious is this tractor didn't have fan clearance problems when it was new. Am I right about that, seal oil?

Thanks AchingBack . Not sure because I am the second owner . It was traded in at the dealer where I bought it with 229 hrs on it . I am 400 miles round trip from there and my car hauler needs work before I could take it on such a long haul . I checked the holes in the shroud to see if they were egg shaped but they are round . That is why I am wondering if there is another way to adjust it .

Thanks art . I thought about doing that but it don't look like it would be easy getting the shroud off .

It is strange for not to have any way to make any adjustment . Do anyone know where I might be able to buy a service manual ? It might have something in it on how to adjust it .
