Mahindra 2615hst vs. Kioti CK25hst

I am looking at both. I really like the Kioti. Looks like it will cost me about $14K with FEL.

I'm sure the Mahindra guys will prefer their brand but I'll post up here anyway.

Pricing....what can I expect for this model with a loader?

How do you feel it compares with the CK25 in features?

How do you feel it compares with the CK25 in power?

How do you feel it compares with the CK25 in reliability?

I seriously considered both of these and was leaning toward the Kioti. I ended up ordering the red one only because I was offered a killer deal on it from a dealer that was only about 20 miles further away from me.

Ride'em both and buy the one that feels right. In my mind the dealer is secondary to the machine, but important just the same (who cares about the dealer if you don't like the machine??). You'll know right away if you have a good dealer; if he's good, you'll have to stand in line at the parts counter and his salesmen will be busy...

I'm partial to Mahindra since I've had the 2615HST for over two years now. No problems to speak of. I like the Mitsubishi diesel. Don't know who makes Kioti diesel. I agree you should try out both to see which fits you best. Seating, legroom, control location, etc. I think capacities are similar between the two you speak of. It may come down to which dealer offers you the best deal. A friend of mine just bought his 2615HST two weeks ago and has 30 hrs. on his working in his woods cutting downed trees and moving them, hauling dirt, filling in wet spots, etc. making roadway trails through the woods for deer season. He liked mine and was going to get the 2015 but decided to go to the same model I have since financing and monthly cost was in his range. Price was in range area you quoted.

As a Mahindra dealer I am biased, so you need to know that up front. Both are very good machines, built heavy, good lift capacities, enough track record to know the companies will still be here next year, etc. The 2615 is a favorite seller. The 2815/3215 has more features, more leg room, etc. I sell tractors made in Japan, Korea and India. When asked, I think I'd have to say the Japanese product is marginally better than the others, but the gap in detail and quality has all but vanished in the last couple of years. I still give the nod to the Mitsu based Mahindra, but I really can't say anything negative about the Kioti. Remember the bias

Drive them both, and also try the 2815. If it is nearly a draw for you, make you decision based on the best dealer. You'll be very happy with either.

Quite true, some(if not all) of the 10 series Mahindra are made in S. Korea by TYM using Daedong engines.

I used to own a Cub Cadet 7260, which is the gear version of the Mahindra 2615. It was a very good, solid and reliable machine. I had it for 8 years. I mostly sold it because I was bored with it and partly because I like JD Green, or was it visa-versa? I wrote a review for the 7260 several years ago. It is still there.

As for the Kioti, I have no comment since I have never driven one nor know anyone who even owns one.

Again, this might be a bit bias but here is my take on the situation.

Kioti you get:
Curved arm FEL
Fender mounted joystick control
Full tilt steering and suspension seat
Telescopic lift arms and sway links
Full one piece hood
4-year warranty

I will add though that I love the 2615. We use to sell them when they were painted Cub colors and they are very solid machines. Just go sit on both of them and determine which one is more comfortiable for you. Then judge each dealership and deal with the one you have more confidence in. Good luck, keep us posted.

First....my apologies to the hall monitor for the dupe posts.....

Second....I sat on the Kioti ck25 and crawled all over it Sat. afternoon. WOW is all I can say. From the draw bar to the seat to the front axle.....what a strong machine. I checked out the 2615 today. I was not as impressed. Not as stout. Wimpy draw bar. No synchro shuttle shift. Not nearly as comfortable to sit upon. Not that it is not a nice machine......but I'd have to step up to a 3215 to even start to match up eith the ck25. The Kioti is just beefier all around.

Now I just have to figger out how to afford it....and make up my mind on hydro vs. gear. I've never met a hydro I liked....they feel mushy to me. I like the visceral connection you get from a gear and clutch tranny. And having it synchro means I can shift on the fly.
