We have a Mahindra 2538, we are looking at buying a skid steer mount western prodigy snowplow it weighs about 900lbs. Do you think it would be to much wear on the hydraulics driving it about 3 miles to our Camp 3-4 times a winter?

I agree with RNeumann, but I'd suggest you warm the tractor up really good first before you start your trek. You might want to operate the FEL controls a little bit to help warm up the hydraulics.

I went out this morning (40*) to move some dirt, and the bucket was very slow in it's initial movement until the hydraulics got warmed up. The water temp was already up to normal, but that doesn't mean the hydraulics are up to temp.
