I am in the process of running water lines to several pastures for water tanks so I am in search of a subsoiler that has a shank long enough to get down at least 1' but preferably down to 18"-24" that also has a shear pin. I prefer it to be manufactured in the United States, even North America would welcome. If I can not find an acceptable candidate, I will resort to manufacturing my own.

Thanks Darryle

I think Bush Hog is made in America, but I would drop them an email to make sure. As you know, some companies just reband, but I think Bush Hog makes their stuff.

Mine will go down a few inches, but stop me dead if it catches a root or rock. To go 12-18 inches, you'd need to be in very soft ground with no subsurface issues. There are a number of manufacturers like Taylor-Pittsburgh where mine came from.

If you're dealing with more than a couple of hundred feet, it sounds like trencher time.

Subsoiler from everytfhingattachments.com is made in North Carolina and has shear bolt protection.

+10 on that. No subsoiler / pipelayer will do that depth without some serious power pulling it.

Darryle, just picked one up a week ago that will get down to the depth you are looking for, actually just did a video, check it out and if you have any question feel free to ask.
