I had black customers at work tonight. They gave me a fully packed to-go box with some mac and cheese, among other things. It was the traditional yellow cheese, but not baked as firm as usual. {they must have run out of time cooking it} Last weekend there was a wedding that left almost a gallon of mac and cheese in a Ziplock in the kitchen. It was drier, and made with white cheese. It was real good.

My wife makes the best I've ever had. Homemade, with stewed tomatoes. I think that kielbasa would make it even better.

I've never been much of a mac-n-cheese guy, but I'll trip you and walk over your body to get to a big steamin' dish of fettuccine alfredo.:licking:

I definitely do not want any stewed tomatoes in mine. Just one of my taste quirks, I guess, but that would ruin both the tomatoes and the pasta for me.:laughing:

Almost anything alfredo is good. My wife likes the Olive Garden and I guess I get the seafood alfredo every time we go to an Olive Garden.

We always considered macaroni and cheese as a side dish, so I was quite surprised when I was on a job in Pennsylvania to find a lot of cafes had macaroni and cheese on their lunch menus and it came with nothing more than a slice of bread.

I've seen a lot of good, and some not so good, recipes for macaroni and cheese, but we no longer buy anything except the Velveeta Shells & Cheese.

For a quick meal, that Denise always likes, some Prego Cheese Sauce (Reg. or Alfredo) and Elbo macaroni, then add cooked up scrambled & seasoned hamburger. Mix it up and heat in the oven. To this I'll also add some Parmesan and some grated cheese that is on hand. But my favorite is Mac & Cheese with some killer Chili topped with more cheese and chopped onions and maybe a dollop(?) of Sour Cream.
