No experience what so ever with mahindra. A guy has a newer mpower 85 with loader no cab an 4wd. Anyone have any experience with this particular model? Will be using it to move 5x6 hay bales, rake hay, pull a hay tedder an loader work. Mainly filling the mixer with silage. Mainly just wanna know if anyone has had any major problems with this model.

Wish that I could help you, but the Mpower tractors are relatively new, so not to many people have them yet. The 2 Mahindra's that I have, a 7520 (75hp Mahindra built) and a 3215 (32hp Mitsubishi built) have been very good for me over the past 9 & 7 years. My guess would be that the tractor would be a good machine.

Just my :2cents:

I appreciate the info. The best part is I can get an almost new mahindra for the same price as a 2 or 3 year old kubota or jd

My only complaint is that on the 7520, I think that it would be a much nicer machine if it had a power shuttle and a 16x16 transmission, and actually just having a 16x16 trans would make a big difference. Other than that, it is one nice machine.:thumbsup:

I have a 8560. Don't know much about the new M85. But my 8560 will handle any thing I have asked her to do. Move 240 5x7 hay bales each year for two years no problem. Great tractor no problems except some body sitting at the dealership bent the steering wheel tilt peddle. Dealership fixed it before they delivered her. Love my Mahindra but I should of listen to the wife and got a cab...lol

Yeah I've been reading all night about them they are offering 84 month zero percent financing rightnow on brand new ones and we have a dealer next town over and I never even knew it. And the m85 with cab an loader is dan near 10000 less than a comparable deere. I've never owned one with a cab but sure would be nice on cold and rainy more ings I gotta put hay out.

I'd concur with the others. I have 3 Mahindra's 1-Mahindra built (6000 mfwd) 1-TYM built (7010 cab), but Mahindra powered (7520 engine) 1- Mitsubishi built (3316 HST) All are atleast 5 years old and have from 800-2500 hours on them. I did have to put a clutch in the 6000, but that's the only thing that hasn't been a warranty fix. Can't lay that one on Mahindra either. Loaned it to a friend at 500 hours and it came back slipping. Nursed it to 1000. Had a gear sheer in the tranny of the 7010, warranty fix. Engine block cracked on 3316. Replaced whole engine under warranty. When I'm ready for new tractors again I'll definitely consider Mahindra. Love that new MForce 100hp! The only limiting factor to the brand imo is transmission options. Why not have at the very least a 16x16 shuttle transmission? Creeper option would be nice. Power shuttle would be nice on the bigger tractors too.

What do u consider the limitations of the transmissions? I wann say the m85 comes with a 12x12?

If a person really works the tractor, it would be nice to have a few more gears is all. I operate my 7520 to the max. There are times when a gear is to high, but the next one down is to low to get maximum performance from the tractor.
