Help
I have an m series tractor with 10 hours on it that has been dealer serviced two times for the same issue. Seems that it blows the fuse controlling the gas gauge, temp gauge and parking brake. The dealer located the blown fuse fast enough but cannot seem to locate the source of the short. it has been I for 2 weeks with no end in sight. On top of that I am making payments with no tractor. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

My M5040 was blowing the main fuse (dead tractor) when I would push in the clutch. Turned out that the wiring harness was not secured properly and the clutch arm had rubbed a bare spot in the wire. At least my dealer found that one quickly!

We hate these things as a dealer! It requires diagnostic time which companies don't pay well on for warrantee so as a dealer we try to find them as quick as we can to get them back out to the customer.

There are times we get a bad fuses so the first time it is normal to just replace it and it often does the trick. Knowing that yours is a repeat they are probably studying it closely to be sure that they have it fixed right.

I can't say that we have had any major problems like yours but from time to time we do find a wire that got pinched during assembly.

I contacted Kubota in Torrence and they are all over the problem. The closest Kubota regional office is in Ga so they have a service team and hopefully they will find an answer quickly. Thanks much for your reply.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully the super techs at Kubota regional are on it. What M model do you have?
