M7040 for moving hay?

Thinking of purchasing an '09 M7040 w/ spear to move round bales with. Is this enough tractor @ 68 hp?

It'll do great. I used to have a 7040 cab tractor and I could put two of the heaviest bales any place I wanted.

Round bales will be no problem at all. We move two square bales all the time.

My M5040 works very well moving round bales. The M7040 should even better. I found having your rear tires filled also helps

How big are the bales, how high do you have to lift, how many to handle, how far to move and will you have a spear on the back are all questions that come to mind when considering bale handling. Even the nature of the terrain and smoothness of the ground may be things to take into consideration.
