just wondering does anybody own m5700 with hydraulic shuttle , do you like it ,and do you think it is worth the extra money,how is the traction thanks

I don't own the M5700, but I have it's big brother the M6800 with Hydraulic Shuttle and LOVE it! Having grown up with manual shift tractors, I still sometimes find myself clutching for operations that I don't need to, but it is handy... especially when using the FEL. The traction is the same as a manual gear-shift. The hydraulic shuttle just hydraulically operates the clutch pack. FWIW, the hydraulic shuttle clutch actually has MORE clutch plates than the manual clutch model.

As to the size of the M5700 and traction I can't speak exactly, but my M6800 with loaded rears can push a loader full of mud through a foot of wet mucky mud without slipping.

While pulling a 3 bottom plow I could hardly tell it was there. Not much effort to pull a 10' disk harrow or a 10' spring tooth harrow either.

thanks for the info larry happy to here you like the your machine,I am looking real hard at the 5700hd. I know these hd shuttles were new for kobota last year or 2 ,just wondering how they were holding up.the other 3 had these out for years , so everbody has to catchup, and keep with the times .I do alot of loader work so this makes alot of sense for me thanks

That 5 cylinder engine in the M5700 is sure smooth running. I test drove one when I was looking into getting a tractor. I would have bought the M5700 if it would have had just a little more power. I have an implement that’s requires 60 hp on the PTO. I figured that I better buy a little more than what I needed instead of a little less. But I really like the tractor. I ended up with a great price on my M9000DTL so I’m happy.

That will be a great machine.
