M5040 ON THE LOT!!

Went by my dealer today to pick up my PHD I ordered Tuesday and there sat a new M5040 with loader. Very nice looking unit. I have seen the M9540 up close but this is the first 5040 I have seen. It looked like it was a little bigger than the M4900. I did not get a chance to drive it around but he told me to come back next week and I could play with it all I wanted.

The loader looked totally different than the old style and you had a lot better view of the bucket from the seat. Set up was very nice and the only thing I thought could be better was if the arm rest was a little higher you could rest you arm on it while you operated the joy-stick for the loader. Overall though a very nice........man I got to have one /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif!!!!

He priced it to me at $24K as it was, Ag tires, MFWD, one set of remotes, and loader with quick attach.

I guess I will have to put a "For Sale" sign on the L3130 /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Wow.

I visited my RTV dealer yesterday. The are not getting any M series in until the end of May. Grrr.... anyway they were most estatic about the agressive M series prices. Said the are priced nice. This dealer is always one to just not negotiate on the tag in the lot. So come May, we will see.

Does anyone know the transmissions options available? The brochure shows syncro shuttle standard across the model line with hyd shuttle mandtory when 12/12 trans ordered on M8540/9540's. All other show hyd shuttle available on "select models". Have a friend who might be interested in a M5040 /CAB , but with 2WD only.
