m500 questions

I can't seem to find much info on the net on these, I have a chance to pick one up for a song. I know it has a newer motor installed, it has a factory roll cage, needs tires and I think he told me he converted it from belt drive to chain drive and now it needs sprockets and chain.
Anyone offer up some info, good or bad? I think for the money I will buy it but would like some input. I don't plan on working it too hard, I want forks and just a little firewood around my shop.
