A friend has an M4900 with the front wheel drive not working. No noises or warning, it just stopped working. So far she has only checked to see that the engaging mechanism at the engine end of the drive shaft functions. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, what is involved in checking the front end of the drive shaft where it enters the axle? The drive shaft tube enters a cast housing on the back of the axle that I assume must have some sort of coupling inside. Thanks,
