I really like my old M4700, even though it gets very little use it usually there when I need it.
So I was pleased that I had finally pulled the carport that collapsed in an ice storm on Feb 16th down.
Then after I unloaded a piece of the carport, 10 feet away from the shed I house the M4700 in and at about 5pm I couldn't shift gears between high range and anything.
No low, no reverse. Shifting range selector was stuck in high.
So having had this happen before prior post I said call it a night and parked it. Figuring this time it was going to require some real maintenance. Or a new tractor.
Talk it over with wife before dinner - well if you need to replace it - replace it.
But then after a light dinner I got worrying and went back down "to take a picture".
So I go underneath and lo and behold
The yellow represents a twig
That got wedged in there somehow.
Whew. There goes my reason for a new MX4800.
