Bought this tractor new in 1999. Never had an issue with it like this. Somehow got water in the fuel. exhaust started blowing black smoke. Shut it down and left it sitting. Sat 4 days and went to get it running today. Changed out the fuel filter. Did as I have for the last 20 years. Screwed the filter bowl on loose. Turn the fuel on let it fill the filter bowl. Then when air stops coming out. screw bowl right.
Always fires up after that, runs rough for a few seconds. But today only try to start a couple of times. So pulled it back to the house. New filter clean fuel, and still no start. Only thing I can think of is got air in the lines? Sure hope I don't have to crack all 5 injector lines. As there almost no way to get to 4 of them. Without removing the hood and fuel tank.
If anyone has done this on the 5 cylinder Kubota's let me know. Also there's no primer on this tractor. Or if so I have never found one. I do have the service manual on a thumb drive if I can find it.
