I looking to hear people's general thoughts on the M120. The company I'm working for a considering selling their's and I was wondering if it might make a good farm tractor for my father's farm. I've operated it a fair bit, but it doesn't get many hours on it, or implement usage. It was used mostly for snow plowing/blowing/and removal, and it's hard to get a real impression of the tractor from those activities.

We have an M5400 and an M6800. Both are agile, smooth, quiet, and comfortable. We don't put excessive hours on them but, I expect them to be reliable and last a long time. Here's the rub...As far as Ag tractors go, you will find Kubotas to be much lighter in weight than comparible HP tractors from New Holland, Deere, Case, Massey, etc. So, the M120 would be great for mowing, haying, and similar tasks, but would not fare well in heavy tillage or heavy front loader operations compared to the other brands. Oh course you can always add front and rear weights, load the tires, etc. To me, this is extra expence and hassle. Depending on the other model in comparison, the Kubota will weight 1500 to 3000 lbs. less. I really wish Kubota would build in the extra pounds for Ag tractors that the others do. For this reason, we MAY trade one of our Kubotas for another brand.
