M series seat

Does any one have trouble with their seat bottoming out and then staying there? This has happened to me many times. It is adjusted for heavy people (Im 6' 2" and around 230lbs. My father is 6' and bigger than me). Also when you shutle from forward to reverse and back the tilt steering lock will let go and the steering wheel goes down as far as it goes. Can anything be done about this?

If your Kubota still under warranty I would give the dealer a call,mostly about the steering problem.

Gosh, a M series question. We never get M series questions!

I agree with Thomas about the steering column problem. That's not normal and something for a dealer to fix.

As to the seat bottoming out: When I bought my M5400 I was about 205lbs. It didn't bottom out except on the roughest of roads. I blew out my shoulder, put on 20 lbs, and all of a sudden my seat's shock is sort of defective. Yep, bottoms out all the time. I've cranked it to the 250lb mark, but let me hit a bump and I'll bottom out.

I'm sure that Mark can rig up a hydrolic something-or-other that would support....I don't know...Orson Wells, perhaps. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Have seen many related problems with kubota. The best explanation we have come up with is when this equipment is tested (in Japan) I haven't seen too many 200 lb japanese guys (excluding sumo wrestlers, wich don't seem to be employed by kubota) EX: B21 seat hits hi-range shifter when heavier operators use it and nocks it out of hi range, F-series front mount suspension seats have to be maxed out for a decent ride, climbing on and off a L-2500 can be a little tedious for bigger individuals etc. Your dealer can probably figure out a fix for you.
