I have used various type lynch pins over the years. None work too well, in the thick stuff they have come loose and that has caused more than a share of problems.
The best are a circular round wire type. One spreads the coil apart and spirals it around. I however do not know the name of this type nor where to purchase the same. If so please advise. Thanks
I have used a number of types and even wrapped them in duct tape to keekp the pins from coming loose. Tougher spring tension, a wire cover to help hold down etc. Not much has been successful.
This is on my 3 point equipment, primarily my bush hogs.

They are ring cotters. As you know, ring cotters are tempered.

As a reasonably satisfactory substitute I use Key Rings, purchased on eBay in bags of ten each.

(Suddenly, searches reveal new ring-cotter venders) ---------->

Bush hogged 118 acres last year with some small brush and what we call Bull thistles. Tractor Supply sells their .25 cent Lynch pins, because people like me buy them. I have bent up all kinds of arms and top links as well as a couple of PTO shafts when the Lynch pin comes off and you keep on mowing. The answer was lying on my trucks dash. The key is the 35 cent roll of harbor freight electrical tape. Just stretch it as you go around the metal ring or loop and cross over the metal pin a couple of times. You will need to find the end of the tape or carry a dull knife for removal. Should have learned this 20 years earlier.

I use the black lynch pins from TSC as they seem to have strong springs and seem to stay put. It also helps to install the implement pins with the hole horizontal then install the clips from the front side that will leave the ring trailing away from the brush which might try to open it.

Rue rings may work:

I have not used them because they are not available in Canada.

I replaced the more exposed lower lynch pins on my 3 point arms with bolts and lock nuts.

I use standard lynch pins on all my tractors without incident. Implements are coming and going daily, and there just isn't much on the farm to pop them out. Other pins in the draft link assemblies come out from time to time after losing a cotter or whatever, but the lynch pins stay put. I wonder if stabilizing is the issue? I keep most things pretty tight, so the draft link is pressed up against the lynch pin. If there is a lot of slack I guess I could see it getting popped out easier if something catches them.

The rue rings look interesting, never seen them before.

I just had one of my lower arm's pin come out while mowing brush. The shrubs can pop out the keeper pin. Bolts with lock nuts should eliminate that.
