After 16 years of weekly service I have a problem. 2 weeks ago I found battery dead. would not charge so replaced battery. Installed new battery and all the smoke escaped from the regulator. Found that PO or mechanic had apparently removed fuse in 12v feed. ****.
Replaced regulator. No Joy.
Checked all safety circuits (seat, brake, PTO). All seem good.
No apparent melted/grounded wiring problems.
Followed JD manual diagnostics (great manual). Only failure found was starting circuit on interconnect module. Tried jumper wire to starter. Starter spun fine, but no start. Replaced module. Low oil pressure light goes on but not battery light. No starter, No Joy.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
