MF1533 12 spd. PowerShuttle
Well, I finally went and read so much I just had to join the tractor owners club.

First a note on my user ID, Redeye_Rex. Most of my "net" time is after 11pm local time, usually on towards 1am. I still have to get up and go to work in the AM so I usually get bloodshot eyes quite often. So between this and the fact that I LOVE my new RED tractor, I am seeing Red with my eye's, get it?

Now the fun part. I could not pass up the 0% for 60 deal Massey was running and I really liked the sturdy build of the entire tractor. Not a lot of plastic on this thing. I think I went a little overboard, but I wanted a whole package to start with. You guys really helped me spend my money:D

I am planning (wife is really planning) landscaping, stone drive maintenance, downed tree removal, etc for my new friend.

Here are the basics of my setup. Delivered Friday Aug 1 after 4 week wait.

MF1533, 12x12 Powershuttle, R4tires, 2 spool extra rear SCV's, top tilt cylinder
MF1525 loader with skid steer style quick attach (I love this part)
66" Heavy Duty bucket w/ reversible cutter edge
Pallet Forks
72" Box Blade (Bushog Brand)
and the best?
MF1580 Backhoe w/16" bucket!

This whole thing was well under 30k and the 0% was the deal maker for me.
It also fits in my detached garage with the loader and forks attached!

I (hope) some pictures are attched.

Rex

Rex,

Welcome to TBN! I read your profile, and of course it was complete, including the part about you playing software engineer when you're not lurking on TBN. Lurk no more. But you're going to have to find some "seat time" if you hope to do all those things your wife is planning for.......probably a bunch of things you said you could do with this new machine to convince her it was worth the price, right?

Post questions when you have 'em, post answers if you know 'em.

Congratulations. Nice tractor you got there.

I've got a 1540 with the 1525 loader and standard 66" bucket. I really like this tractor, it is smooth and very quiet. However, I will warn you that the 1525 loader isn't very powerful. My 1540 can bury the bucket into loose material and the loader won't be able to do anything with it. Over time, you get used to just taking the first few inches of the pile and raising the bucket to fill it.

One of these days I think I'm going to need a backhoe, and the 1580 sounds like the ticket.

Good luck with your 1533.

Thanks for the welcoming comments!

I got a little seat time the first weekend moving some logs and brush from a tree that came down in a storm. A real good way to practice. See attached pic's.

The loader was actually at my wife's insistence since she really wants the landscaping renovated. This includes removing all the old overgrown shrubs and removing the front sidewalk and putting in a paver patio.

I gotta love her for supporting and even suggesting some of my toys.:)
