Greetings all. Is there a difference between Lucas transmission fix and Lucas hydraulic booster and stop leak? Are they basically the same product in two different bottles or are they entirely different products for different applications?

what is the problem you're trying to solve (delay) on your transmission. apologize don't know the difference between those 2 lucas products, just curious what you're trying to do...
looking for added lubrication properties, or just trying to stop a leak?
auto or tractor? std or hst or automatic? best regards

I figure the oil was rendered from the same snake.

Is this anything to do with the tractor with the Gear Oil in the trans and the Steering Ram leak?

Had never seen this Lucas hydraulic booster and stop leak. I searched reviews and found a lot of positive results on it. I went and bought a gallon to try for an unapproved purpose. My backhoe brakes are supposed to use a NH mineral oil but the oil runs right through into the rear axle which takes hydraulic fluid. I am going to pour some into my brakes. If it does anything there I might pick up another 5 gallons and see if it improves my steering. My steering cylinder is bypassing within I think but no external leaks. I am hoping this is the best snake oil known to man. ;)

The Lucas hydraulic booster and stop leak may indeed be some good snake oil. It's a thick syrupy product reminiscent of STP but not quite as thick. I mixed some at 1/2 qt to 1/4 qt of hydraulic oil and put it in my backhoe brake system. Not what it's supposed to have but the mineral oil would run out over night. Bled the brakes out yesterday and reservoir is still full this morning. I'm gonna buy some more and put in my hydraulic tank to see if it helps my steering.

The Lucas hydraulic booster and stop leak didn't seem to have any effect on my steering. Maybe it will have other benefits I don't see. Brake fluid level has not gone down but I put it in dang near straight on that.

Update on my experiment. Using it in the brake system wasn't a stop leak but a slower leak. At least now I have a compatible oil leaking into my rear axle. On the actual hydraulic system I saw no changes other than my crowd cylinder started leaking down at the end of it's travel. Not the best $120 I ever spent.
