I posted in another thread about "How do they Do it?" ... Well the 4340 came in today with 600 + hrs and we serviced the entire unit.
It had the 50 hr service and regular scheduled service and then ... today we dropped the Hyd fluid and the filter ... OMG, talk about contaminated!!
Folks, the life blood system of these tractors (IMO) is the fluids ... the fluids are inexpensive compared to damage that can result from lack of maintaince ... I like to think We do a good job ... HOWEVER ... the drop plug, is also magnetic ... UNBELIEVABLE the amount of metal screening that was still apparent. This was the 4th Hyd service and the fluid was definatly ready to be changed ... Do yourself and your machine a favor and service it.
