LT 1042 Drive belt replace

I need some guidance on replacing the drive belt on my tractor. I am fairly good mechanically, but have never worked on a lawn tractor. Will I need to remove the deck for this job? If so are there instructions anywhere, photos of how the belt would go back on. I am not real savy so far as computer searching for answers so any help so far as how to go about changing this drive belt would be really appreciated. I need what steps I need to do, and maybe some photos of both deck belt routing and drive belt routing.

What is the model year of your lt1042? Also you might try taking the FULL model # and serial # off the ID plate located in the cavity under your tilting seat, going to the MTD manuals website and possibly download a service manual or sections thereof that could help you...http://manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/Public.do?BrandCode=10051&langId=-1
