Got this craftsman Lt1000 917.272061 that gave problems starting. Think the clutch/brake interlock switch was bad. In any event, it is now. Two questions:
1 - It seems "impossible" to get the new switch in there without damage. OK, now you know why the switch is bad for sure. Seems the shaft for the brake/clutch is in the way. Can't see a way to slide it out. Any ideas?
2 - the schematics seem to show one set of contacts is "normally open" and the other set is "normally closed". That is for both the clutch/brake and the "implement" (blade deck) lever switch. Is that right? If so I have two bad switches as the other one is NO on both sets and NC on both when the plunger is pushed.
Electrics can be fun, but now when schematics lie to you.
