LS XG3135 or XG3037?

Unless your pulling a constant PTO load, or doing some other constant heavy load, I highly doubt the exhaust gets that hot. Even during a regen the exhaust out of the engine is maybe 750 F. The heat is created in the DOC with the excess fuel that is dumped into the exhaust during regen. Remember, your comparing a engine that at most makes 57 hp to a 300+ hp Cummins pulling 15,000+ pounds up a mountain. Yes, cooling the turbo off is important, but if your just doing light loader work 1-2 minutes should be sufficient. If you were just plowing a field and ran the heck out of the engine, ok 5 minutes is probably a good idea.

Next time I PTO dyno a tractor I'll post the exhaust temps.
