I have just 59 hours on my MT342. When I have the bucket on the loader and in the air. If I shut the engine off , the loader will start dropping, probably a couple of inches in ten minutes. I told my Dealer about that and that I was disappointed with that. He told me that they all do that. I can not except that. I have a 1964 JI Case 530 that doesn't drop at all. Anybody else have that problem with their LS tractor? How about any other brand of new tractor?

My LS only bleeds down if there is a load on the FEL while the tractor is off. And its not a steady bleed, its more like a 'clunk' down, maybe quarter inch dependign on how heavy the load is. If there is no load, it does not bleed down.

However, this is a common problem in many loaders. If this is unacceptable to you, then have your dealer warranty the repair work for the seals on the FEL or the valves. Just make sure they actually do the work and plan to have it at the dealership for days/weeks since this will likely not be a priority job for them.

My 342 has 21 hrs on it. Where I have to park it in my shop, I have to leave the bucket up about head high. It has set for weeks and the bucket hasnt ever leaked down.

My MT225 bucket or grapple dose not drop when motor is off full or empty. I have about 230 hours on her.

Highly unlikely a dealer will warrant it with such a small amount of drift.

Loader valves have no seals between the work ports and the pressure and tank ports. It's just a very very tight tolerance metal/metal

That said.....a little internal leakage is deemed acceptable. And that is up to the manufacture of the valve. And would be worded something like 10cc/hr @ 1000psi.

All that can be translated into inches of drift at the cylinder or at the loader edge.

The dealer should....at the very least....be able to reference the workshop manual for your loader....and tell you their threshold. How many inches per hour is acceptable to LS. If you exceed that....force them to act. If it doesn't exceed that.....they likely won't do anything

No drop on my MS 352 full or empty. There might be an adjustment somewhere I cant remember but there might be something in the manual about it.. I remember someone saying something about it here but on another brand tractor.

The loader on my xr3140h bleeds off very slowly. No idea of the rate, but slow.

Have 280 some odd hours on the tractor, but that's not all loader hours. I'm guessing 20-ish hours or so on the loader.

Should be some info on acceptable bleed rate in a shop manual for the loader.
