I have been lurking/posting on here for the last year about LS Tractors waiting until I moved to PA to purchase. Well I am now in PA and have been calling around to the LS dealers trying to find a dealer that has 5030's and 7010's so I can go compare them side-by-side and test drive, unfortunately there does not seem to be any dealers that are stocking much of anything.

Is this a sign that the LS brand is not doing well?

Does anyone know of an LS dealer in NW PA area that stocks a variety of LS tractors?

Thanks for any info and/or contacts.

Dave,
Sandy Lake is where I bought my 3039. They generally have a few on the lot.
Then there is New Alexandria tractor - never been there. I think LS is doing fine it's just that a dealer can't tie up a lot of cash stocking every model of tractor. I know what you mean though. I bought my tractor sight unseen but have been pleased. Good hunting.

Joe,

Thanks for the info. I visited Sandy Lake about 6 months ago and liked the sales rep so i called them yesterday and they have a 5030 but no 7000 series tractors. Unfortunately the last 7010 they had took so long to sell they do not plan on stocking any others, i am in Warren (90 miles from SL) so i am trying to find a dealer with both to cut down on travel.

I will try to get in touch with the New Alexandria tractor dealer. I am in Warren.

Thanks again,
Dave

Dave,
Is it really 90 miles to SL from Warren? I live near New Castle and it is 37 miles from here. Didn't realize it was that far for you. I thought there is an LS dealer over there in Ohio somewhere west of Y-town. On another note, have you looked for a leftover Cub/Yanmar (EX3200) or such. You might be able to find one close by and get a good deal to boot. Anyway, good luck in the search. I know it can be frustrating at times.

In many areas, I think dealers drop inventory levels at this time of year for tax purposes.

My old boss was from New Castle. I live about an hour from there. Bought my zero turn near New Castle.

Joe,

Yes, the last time i drove down to SL Imp. is was actually 96 miles door-to-door. I called the LS dealer in Ohio and they only have a 5030 as well. I think Short Game is right, it sounds like all of the dealers dumped their inventory for tax purposes, and only kept a couple of smaller tractors around for show room candy.

The Cub/Yanmars are just to small for what i am looking for, i am looking for a tractor in the 60-70 HP range for farm work.

Thanks again,
Dave

Hydro,
New Castle used to be a nice little town. Unfortunately, just about all the manufacturing moved or closed and now the town is struggling. About the only thing left downtown are banks and tattoo parlors. I guess we are still the fireworks capital of the world though. So we have that going for us:D.

Sorry Dave, for some reason I thought you were looking for something in the 40hp range. It would be nice if you can find a dealer that is close to you. I don't have any means of transporting my tractor, so I have to have the dealer transport it ($200 a pop) for service or warranty work.
Have you talked to the folks down at Phil's sales and service in Columbiana? They handle Kubota and seem like really good folks. If I had not gone with LS, I would have bought a Kubota from them.
Happy hunting,
Joe
