Just did my first 50 hour service on my 4710. Got everthing done, except for the "Lubricate Lower Brake Pivot Tubes." I Greased the front end, and the 3PH, but can't find this in the book. Did a search with no luck. So what is this, where is this, and what do I do?? Everything else went well - just want to do a complete job. Would appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks,
Josh

Josh, I'm not familiar enough with that tractor and Deere's manual, terminology, etc., but I'd just about bet that means go to the brake pedals and follow from the foot pad down the shaft to where it pivots (I would assume under the floorboard). Some tractors have grease zerks there and some do not.

Josh, lower brake pivot tubes are the tubes above the floor boards just aft of and beneath the FEL supports where the brake pedal shafts pivot on the frame. There is a zerk on the top of both the left and right side tubes.

Thanks a lot for the help. I'll have to look that up tomorrow and hit it with the grease gun. Wish they would have put that somewhere in the book - but it's more fun to read this site.
