Does any one have experience with monster ramps (they go by a lot of names) on a low profile trailer. Picture attached.

I had a deck over 10 ton with them. They were great for backing off a skid steer with sucky visibility. The downside was they’re heavy and cost more. For loading a tractor where you can see the wheels when you’re backing off especially if you aren’t doing it everyday they aren’t worth it IMO.

I didn't want them do to implements hanging over the back as shown.

I would have to have a much longer trailer if I had the fold up ramps.

I think the monster (mega) ramps are really nice. I have them on an 18 foot equipment trailer.

Mine have a spring assist built in so they are not heavy to lift in fact they are easier to manage than regular ramps.

I think they are much safer to use than regular ramps.

I have them on an 18' Big Tex. Very useful. Easy on easy off for any width of equipment. They are spring assisted so not too heavy. I got them because other equipment trailers I have had used fold up ramps and a beavertail. That makes it impossible to use the full length of the trailer for hauling lumber or other materials.

Yup. I seriously considered a trailer with the type of ramps pictured. But I don't care for the low hanging dovetail so I went with a tilt PJ.

Don't see how anyone would have problems carrying long items that are loaded on your trailer without having to be driven on. Any long pipe or lumber or steel would be fine.

The ramps I have are very good and cars would have no problem being loaded.

They work great for low visibility situations as stated. They are also nice for uses where narrow and wide equipment is loaded, such as an equipment dealer.

I have a Big Tex 14ET with Mega Ramps. I like the fact that they fold flat for usable deck space and the ramps can also be locked in a vertical position. As others have already mentioned, they are almost full width. They have torsion springs to assist with lifting. My only beef with them is one ramp torsion spring is almost too strong and does not let the ramp lie on the ground.
