Low On Power after 50hr Service

Long story short, dealer did 50hr service on my 3301 HST. Got it back. Didn't use it for a while due to weather and family vacation..etc.

I plowed a section of field that it felt like the tractor was still in "M", instead of "L". It would bog down, id stop, the RPMs would pick back up. Etc.

The FEL doesn't seem to go direct to bypass if its trying to lift something heavy. It seems to slowly build pressure and SLOWLY lift up.

I am pretty sure its something hydraulic related. I disconnected and reconnected all the FEL hydraulics as well as the rear remotes. Doesnt seem to have changed anything.

Anyone have any ideas? Id call the dealer, but theyre closed on Sundays. Will follow up with them on Monday.

Does the 50hr service include changing the Hydraulic fluid & hydraulic filter?

It 'sounds like' either they didn't quite replace all of the hydraulic fluid or, perhaps the replacement hydraulic filter wasn't installed correctly and it's restricting "flow".

What does your hydraulic dipstick 'say'? (remembering to check it with your tractor on a level surface and the fluid temperature 'cold')

Is the 3pt all the way up and bypassing? Try lowering it a tad.

Do you have a rear remote detent valve and is it engaged with nothing attached to that set of remotes? Just thinking out loud.

I'd take a sample of the hydraulic fluid too. Find out if its the right stuff they put in there, as per your tractor specs.

FEL quick connections there at loader valve connected at correct ports?

I have same tractor and went out and held the 3 point lever all the way up with a flail mower hanging it and worked the FEL and drove it up a steep hill. There is no difference in performance.

Holding the lever up doesn't do/prove anything since it's position control. The possible issue on the OP's tractor is that the feedback rod for the position control is out of whack, so the hitch is still trying to apply "up" pressure when it shouldn't, and that is causing a problem when the hitch gets to the top of the travel and can't go any higher. If the OP drops his hitch a bit, that could either relieve the problem -- or -- he'll see the hitch shoot back up, which tells us more about the problem. Either way, it would indicate the need to adjust the feedback rod on the position control.

Hydro fluid levels are triple checked. Theyre good.

The 3pt is not at max lift.

Rechecked all the hydro qc's.

I did check the rear remote levers today. Did not change anything. Jostled them a bit made sure they were in neutral.


I called the service dept, they said they were going to create a workorder to bring it back in, as I had already checked all the simple stuff.

Nothing yet. Its been in the shop since 24th Aug. I just called and they said they were in the middle of diagnosing but no word on a cause.
