Low Center of Gravity ?

I am looking for advice on a riding mower with a VERY low center of gravity. I have looked at a few zero-turn mowers, but most are not very low and regardless the prices are way beyond my budget. I have grape vines, apple and fruit trees and hazelnuts planted on a slope that averages around 20 degrees and with the rows planted along the slope my old Troy-Bilt riding mower just feels unsafe. I'm getting too old to do it all with a BCS anymore.

Can anyone recommend a used brand/model (maybe under $1500) that might do the job ? Either zero-turn or conventional ?

Exactly ! The video clip on that web site looks a lot like what I need. I expect unless I could find a used one a new one would be impossible. Thanks for the information as I have never seen or heard of these mowers. We do have a Grillo dealer here in Wisconsin so it might be worth asking.

The Husqvarna R322T AWD is really good on slopes because of it's all wheel drive.
It has a pretty low center of gravity, which also means it does not have much ground clearance either.
Probably won't find many used unit around though, and new units go for $5300.
There is also a flail mower attachment available which could handle the more demanding mowing jobs, if you needed heavier duty mowing.

Might be difficult finding something adequate in that price range. I have a JD LT180 which is about 11 years old. I mow on some pretty steep slopes......only go down for the most part. I run chains almost all year due to our wet weather. Someday....when I have to replace the mower.....I will go all wheel drive. Good luck in your search.

What bcs do you have? Maybe get a sulky?

Before you give up on the Troy-Bilt you may want to try filling the tires which would lower it's center of gravity. You should be able to do that really cheap if you can find a local garage that will give you used antifreeze.
