Having some issues with International 574. It has not been used lately and we are in the process of restoring it to readily usuable condition.
After being shedded for about three years, when we started work on the tractor we unexpedly found the engine was siezed. Overall this tractor and loader is in good condition and has never been worked very hard. I bought it from a friend and knew the original owner.
We tried many things to free the engine - none worked. It was taken out of service due to a bad clutch, so we couldn't pull the tractor in attempts to free the engine. What next? What we did was completely off the wall, but the results were exactly what we wanted - a free and undamaged engine. I'll discuss the method later.
When we started the engine it ran very rough. Changed a few parts, cleaned the fuel tank, soaked the carb. two days, and put in a new carb. kit. All this did not help much. Tonight, I was rambling on the net looking for info on the marvel carb. and ran across this site. I always like to share info since noone knows it all. I hope this forum will allow for what is promised.
Looking forward to learning more from you.
Thanks,
DG
