Have 40 hours on my 4410 E-hydro.

In the past week I have had a recurring problem.

When I first drive the tractor it will run fine for 100 yards, then act like it has slipped out of gear. Engine keeps running like nothing has happened, but the tractor stops moving.

I then release the forward pedel and depress it again. Sometimes I have to do this 2-3 times before it catches.

Usually only happens once, and when I am just starting out.

Temp here is 75 degrees, so it is not a cold weather issue.

Didnt have this problem in the first 40 hours, just having it in past week or so.

Any ideas??

If (when?) it happens again check the orange fault indicator in the switchbank on the right fender. My guess is it will be blinking. Mine has did it a couple of times but has now gone away. The blnking light is giving you a fault code.

so what would the flashing indicator light mean?

I know there is something wrong, I am trying to figure out what that something would be.

Any other ideas on a solution?

It'll be a morse code kinda flash, and from that someone can figgure out what's ailing...

When it does that (loss of power), move the 3pt control lever just a bit and see if it has an effect on the power.

On my 4300, after 200+ hours, I detected 'loss of power' on the hydro. Turned out to be a 'slightly out of adjustment' linkage sensing the 3pt lift arms. They were at the top, but the linkage was still sending info that they were not there yet, and the control valve was trying to raise it more. Just moving the control lever a fraction of an inch released the loaded hyd. system and power came back to the hydro.

I'd get in touch with the dealer and have someone look at your problem, if you think it is more than just learning more about the e-hydro.

also know that loss of power is the wrong way for me to say what happens.

what really happens is I lose all power, as if the engine slipped out of gear. the engine continues to crank at the same RPM's, just no power goes to the transmission (or it gets lost there when it does)

I assume you have checked the hydro fluid? Loader bucket flat on the ground, hoe in transport setup (if installed) and all on level....

Then, I'd be thinking filters on the hydro...

Still, I have a thought lurking on this...

Usually when this happens, it means one of the sensors on the hydro or throttle position sensor is out of calibration. Have your dealer recalibrate it and all should be fine.
