I am considering purchasing a CT120. During a testdrive at one dealership, the tractor lost power and turned off when I turned at its maximum in either direction. I didn't buy the tractor because I thought the problem was specific to that one tractor. I am now talking to another dealership and I asked the salesman if their CT120 does the same thing. He says it does not do it in low gear but does do it in high gear. Is this normal or did I just run into two tractors with the same problem? Has anyone had this happen?

Thanks, guys.

a Couple of things,

1) The CT120 is the older model Kioti CK20 from about 1.5 years back.
Kioti has updated it and added 2 HP, it is now 22 HP, it makes a
DIFFERANCE in high gear. The coresponding bobcat is the CT122.
all the kioti dealer told me there is a day and night differance with the
added 2 hp.

2) When you turn the wheel all the way left or right, it bottoms out the
steering cylinder and does put a strain on the pump, but yes, the extra
2 HP help here.

P.S. - get the Kitio CK20S or the Bobcat CT122, do not buy the left over 120's

Slackdaddy is correct, the CT120 will do this and it is because of the cylinder bottoming out and deadheading the pump. There is truly and day and night different with the CT122, which is why we discontinued the CT120 and now only the CT122 is available. Go with the CT122 and you should not have any issues.

Thanks, Slackdaddy and Bobcat Joe. The info really helps ... I won't be buying a CT120.

Do you know if the Kioti CK20S HST also does this? I've testdriven the gear version and it doesn't do it so I'm wondering if the HST version, 20HP because they're the leftover inventory, does it.

Thanks, again.

Brown,

The Kioti CK20S IS the new 22HP version, the old unit was the CK20 (without the "S".

The CK20S and the CT122 are the same tractor (differant loader).

I have a spanking new CK20S, If I crank the wheel to the stops and hold it there it will bog slightly, but you should not be holding it to the stops, after 5 minutes of operating you get the hang of it, trust me.

The CK20S/CT122 is a tank, my neighbor bought a JD sub compact for about 3 grand more than I paid for the Kioti, he basicly has a souped up lawn tractor, He was kinda pissed when I brought the kioti home.
