I just recently purchased a new Cub Cadet Z force S54 zero turn.

I was just looking it over and notice a linkage rod below the engine on the right side has a lot of slack in it.

There is a lock nut on the rear side, and another regular nut on the front side.

I can't see what activates the rod right now with no one available to sit on it.

Any idea if this nut should tighten up to the brass colored collar ? Or maybe it is supposed to jam up tight to the end of the threads. Just seems like it shouldn't be finger loose.
