Looking to purchase

I'm looking to purchase a John Deere 300-B loader backhoe, talked to the owner and after I talked to him I felt really good about the tractor, I would like some feed back on this model loader backhoe, now I know it's a Deere and they keep on running, it has all new tires and everyone knows that's a plus, it does show normal wear and tare, he sent me a bunch of pictures and it shows now signs of hydraulic leaks, he said it has a small fuel leak and he showed a picture of that and it does appear to be very small, when he purchased it he changed all the fluids in it and has put he estimates around 40 to 50/hrs on it since he bout it, he says it will make a great tractor on a farm but would not recommend trying to use it to make money with which I am not going to use it for that.

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated

Hi neighbor! Who is the seller as I might know them? PS: I'm not interested at my age in buying a TLB.
This unit has closed-center hyd's which is great when it's operating correctly and a pita to diagnose when it fails. I would recommend doing an oil scan on engine & trans and also a coolant PH test. I would also recommend to check hyd operation after engine was at operating temp.

He's out of Austin area name is Tanner on his email I talked to him Saturday night in length and he was up front at the very beginning of our conversation of the different issues and it was nothing out of norm for a piece of equipment this age he wasn't sure of the year but he did send me a picture of the serial# I'm going to call our local dealer today to see if they can give me the year, he also sent me a dozen or more pictures and I saw no leaks at all in hydraulics and the fuel leak he said was minor and the picture backs him up and the sweet part is he's coming down our way next week and will deliver at no charge as long as we pay asking price.
