Looking hard at the L4330 or the TC40DA

Hey, I want to thank this group already! I decided I needed to buy a tractor but didn't have enough info to feel comfortable making that decision. I am getting there now after 7 hours yesterday reading on this site.
I have a question...not that we would ever sell a tractor but how well do the NH units keep their value? I will wait and read!

Excellent, I've had 5 Ford / New Hollands and on the ones I've sold I've either made money or come out with in a couple of thousand when selling. Just don't try to sell with in the first couple of years.

Put it this way: when shopping for my TC40DA, I found a three year old unit with 600+ hours, same configuration (HD bucket, HST...etc) and it was only about $1700 less than new. That might sound like a lot, but it's not when you figure you can get 0% loan from NH for new, and can't on a used one. Even older ones with one to two thousand hours were few and far between, but all were in the mid to high teens. I'd say you don't need to worry about resale. Also, understand it may be regional and vary by market. I saw no sense in buying used, in my particular case.
